- Do stretching exercises to increase flexibility before, during, or after taking a shower.
- Use the restroom that is further away.
- Do alternate leg extensions and bring your feet almost level with your knees when sitting (while watching television, for example).
- Pace or walk in place while talking on the telephone.
- Park further away and walk or jog to the door.
- Take the stairs whenever you have less then three flights to walk.
- Do jumping jacks while waiting for your food to heat up.
- Go talk to a colleague instead of sending an email.
- Sweep, mop, and/or garden daily, or play a game with your children.
- Dance to two or three songs in the morning or evening.
